Let me just start off my saying I HATE MONDAYS! Really, I hate them. The whole day is spent catching up from the weekend. Laundry, dishes, housework! I've vacuumed 3 times already today and need to again. I'm on laundry load #3 and still have more. And did I mention it's early out day? I have a whole 40 min after Millie and daycare kids leave until the boys are home at 1:30. Then there's Millie's carpool at 2:30 and dance and UGH! I feel so overwhelmed. On top of it all I decide I should stop drinking diet coke. Why you ask? I don't even know. I just thought it would be better. So today, on the dreaded Monday without diet coke I venture to the post office. I unload the kids and notice Owen's shoes are off. Any of you that know Owen know that anytime and every time he is buckled into his car seat he exposes his little piggies and lets them run free. It's a nice day, I think to myself, I'm not going to wrestle him back into his shoes, I'll just carry him. I had seriously been in line two minutes when the guy behind me says "it was really cold this morning; he should really have shoes on, he's going to get sick!" I'm thinking, um, it's 73 degrees outside and I'm holding him, I think he's OK. So, that's what I said, as nicely as I could. But what I really wanted to say was "Shut up and mind your own business!!" Seriously! Even if I was being neglectful, which, I don't believe I was, was it really his business to tell me??? Am I just being over dramatic? Is it the lack of aspartame and carbonation? Whatever it is, I saw the same guy with his shorts and black socks later at Macey's and almost ran him down. Don't mess with me on Mondays.

4 people not afraid to say something:
You can do it! Before you know it you won't even miss it. Atleast the sun is shining!I love it when people at the grocery store (or post office) pretend to know anything about my life and what's going on! You're a good mom-even without the 'juice'!
Your Mondays sound like my Fridays! Why do they even have early out day? I would rather they save up those hours and have a whole day off every couple of weeks! I've been diet coke free for 2 weeks now. There have been some days when it just sounds so good to have one. I'll pass a gas station and just want to run in and get one, but I've made it this long, I figure why not keep going!
Can I just say that only in Utah do people feel free to give advice instaed of offer assistance! Angi I would have slapped him and said mind your own business. Then I would have told him to go watch his children you were busy watching yours. How annoying.....anyway love the blog!!
i am not coke free...how has the rest of this week been? I need to tone down my carbonation intake, but I fear if I quit, the madness will drive me to drink something with a little more kick! I miss you and hope to find myself wandering in your neighborhood soon!
