Christmas Day

It was nice just to lounge around the house most of the day on Christmas. Grandpa Vuksinick game for a visit and so did Grandma Amanda. I think the kids really enjoy that they come over to see what they got for Christmas. At 4 we headed out to Saratoga Springs for the Harris party. Adam's dad had just gotten out of the hospital that morning (he had a kidney stone removed) so I was a little worried how it was going to go. We had a Mexican style dinner and a great time visiting with the family.

One of the Christmas traditions in Adam's family is the money toss. Adam's parents get hundreds and hundreds of dollar bills and throw them up into the air. Each kid scrambles to get $10 and that is their gift from grandma and grandpa. It's a lot of fun and the kids love it!

These are the different groups waiting for the toss to begin!!

Love it! It's such a fun tradition! It was such a great day but I was ready to head home and finally get some sleep!

Christmas Morning

We told the kids they could get up at 6:00. At 5:58 I could hear stirring and Adam was up gathering up the cameras, getting ready for the kids. I think we were all just a little excited! I remember being little and how excited I was to wake up Christmas morning! I remember watching the clock all night and getting a little sleep here and there! Christmas is so magical for kids!! I love it!

Waiting to go down stairs to see if Santa came. Ian is the lump under the blanket on the floor!

Just what she wanted! A girl gourmet treat maker!

A stunt set for his hot wheels!

Clothes for the teenager!

We have a rule that Santa only brings one present to each kid but for the second time Matthais seemed to score something extra! Maybe it's because Santa is so proud of him and all the help he gives his parents!

A kid tough mp3 player! Ian loves music...hope this one can withstand him!

Merry Christmas! I hope yours was as fabulous as ours!!!

Christmas Eve Night

As per tradition, we spent Christmas Eve with my mom. We have a dinner, open jammies, open our cousin gifts and head home to wait for Santa.

Christmas Eve Day

I was really grumpy Christmas Eve. All I wanted to do was stay home and clean but I had promised the kids a trip sledding and fishing. We stayed close and just went up to Tibble fork. I wouldn't say it was the best sledding/fishing trip, or even the second best, but the kids had fun and it took their minds off of Christmas! My camera battery died so I got a whole two pictures...

At least I got all four kids right? Ian went down twice and then he was done. The other kids played a little longer until Millie and Owen hit heads on the way down and Millie got a nice little black eye. She was done after that so she went over  to fish with Adam. They got 5 fish in the 30 minutes they fished. The rest of us sat in the Tahoe and waited. Ian was done, Matthais was done and I was still grumpy!!

Christmas Eve-Eve

I was brave and thought I would take the kids to the discovery museum, by myself. It wasn't too bad but I knew Ian was done when the screaming started. I really would have liked to have stayed longer and just let the kids play but it was pretty crowded and it really started getting to him.

If you haven't ever been to the Discovery museum it is defiantly worth a trip!

Manila Magic

Sometime in December (I forget when now) Millie performed with her school choir, Manila Magic.

Between dance and singing she's becoming quite the performer! It's so funny to watch my super shy girl get up on stage and sing/dance her heart out! As long as she doesn't have to have a conversation with anyone she is fine! The choir performed at the mall as well but we missed that performance. She has a lot of fun and it helps that she has some great friends in the choir as well!

Harris adult party

There is a conspiracy in our neighborhood. Every year (for the last 3 years) there is a Christmas party. Every year it is planned for the same night as the Harris adult Christmas party. Coincidence? hmmmmm....

Newlyweds David and Sydney

Cari and Brandon

Jayne and Jeremy

Adam and his Seinfeld game.

Though I was deeply saddened to miss the neighborhood party again (seriously people, I need to make some friends around here!) We always have fun with Adam's siblings. This year Michelle hosted and we had way more food then we needed and we had lots of good laughs especially over the bump its and hair gel I brought. The family is too chicken to do an all out white elephant gift exchange so we usually have each couple bring a white elephant and something nicer. We brought bump its and The Seinfeld trivia game which Adam ended up with. I'm a little embarrassed to say that we opened it up and I knew the answer to every card he read. Guess I've seen a Seinfeld episode or two!
