Just like a postman, we delivered today! Micheale and I ran our final 20 miler today. And despite the rain, wind, sleet and even hail, we finished the whole run. I'll be honest, when it started hailing 19 miles felt really good; good enough even. Micheale wouldn't hear of it. She was determined to run the full 20 and even though I was on the verge of tears (the hail really hurt on my already freezing cold arms), we pushed on. She really is the best person to run with. She is so upbeat and positive and motivating. And she also lets me walk and stop when I need to. It feels fabulous to know that is my final long run before my marathon. I have one 12 miler and one 8 miler and boy do they seem like a cake walk after today. As we were running Micheale kept saying "this is funny, we'll laugh about this" I'm not laughing yet. I still can't feel my fingertips. Maybe I'll laugh tomorrow.

2 people not afraid to say something:
I'm so proud of us!! We didn't go that far to not finish the full 20! Thanks so much for putting up with me, you really are an inspiration. I hope you forgive me, I was wearing long sleeves so I wasn't 'feeling it' as much. As long as the feeling in your fingers is enough to blog what else do you need them for?
Whoo hoo! Congrats! It's all downhill from here! You're going to LOVE the course. I ran part of it a week and a half ago and it's awesome! You'll just cruise! I so wish I was doing it now. I know, I'm such a brat for even saying that. But I really do. I'm sure we'll get our chance some time. But I'll be there to watch you come in! By the way...do you want someone to run you in the final 6 or so?
