I took Ian with me to run a few errands today. As soon as we pulled up to pioneer party he started complaining that he wanted to go home; he needed to use the bathroom. He has this thing about only using ours. I asked if he could wait and he said yes so we went in. Again, inside, he says he needs to use the bathroom. Hmmm, I think to myself...this may not wait. I asked the clerk if we could use the potty and she hesitated. "Well," she finally says, "you can, there is just a leak in the ceiling so there is newspaper all over the floor" That's ok I say and take him back. 15 seconds later he pukes all over the floor, counter, toilet etc. UGH! I am sympathy puker so I was fighting back the urge with all my might as I cleaned up half digested hotdogs and pineapple. On the bright side, the floor was mostly covered with newspaper which made that part a snap to clean up but the rest was pretty nasty. And Hey...at least he ALMOST made it to the toilet! Coulda been worse! The biggest problem was afterward he started crying. He wanted his throw-up back. He cried when I shoved the puke filled bag into the garbage outside and asked for about an hour where his throw-up was! Ahhh, the joys of Autism! So now, it's hours later and he's still throwing up. I watching him closely, monitoring him for any seizure activity and pulling out my new carpet cleaner! lucky me!

3 people not afraid to say something:
The poor kid! I hope it doesn't get worse and he gets better fast. You are amazing. I would have been puking right along with him. Good thing you got that carpet cleaner. Has it found a home yet? And yeah for the new floor that's coming!
Ugh! So sorry. Hang in there.
Cringe! Our kids played ring around the throw up bowl two week ago. It's bad enough at home without having to deal with errands and emotions of autism. It sounds like you need a warm bath, some yummy fragrances, and chocolate.
